In the meantime, I have two issues:
1) How did the Black Rock get out to the middle of the island?
2) Are the numbers actually cursed? Are some things in this series going to be explained with simple "some number sequences are cursed and some people just have visions" reasoning? I guess I'm okay with that, but we'll see.

Ok. The numbers. I just started Season 2. As Jack descends into the Hatch he shines his flashlight on the mural and we see the number 108. I remembered that Oceanic 6 was rescued on the 108th day after the crash. I decided to google Lost 108 and I found this:
